This notice explains what OhMySports stores about you and why. In short: no cookies, no advertising, no tracking across sites, and your email is only used to answer you.

Who is responsible

The operator's name, address and email are not set yet. Set IMPRINT_NAME, IMPRINT_ADDRESS and IMPRINT_EMAIL in the deployment's environment and rebuild.

For any question about your data, or to use the rights below, write to the email address in the imprint.

Visiting the site

The site is hosted by Vercel Inc. (USA). When you load a page, Vercel's servers process your IP address and technical request data (browser, time, page) to deliver the site and keep it secure, and keep it in server logs for a short time. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in running a secure website (Art. 6 (1)(f) GDPR). The transfer to the USA relies on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework adequacy decision, in which Vercel participates, and on the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.

The site loads nothing from other companies: fonts, scripts and images come from the site itself, not from Google or any CDN of third parties.

Statistics

We use Vercel Web Analytics to see which pages and sessions are opened and shared, for example how often a sport filter or an event is opened. It sets no cookies, does not follow you across sites or days, and does not build profiles; the figures are aggregated. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in understanding how the site is used and improving it (Art. 6 (1)(f) GDPR).

When someone opens an event, a counter for that event goes up by one. The counter stores no personal data.

What stays in your browser

The site saves a few things in your browser's local storage so it works the way you set it up. They stay on your device and are never sent to us:

  • your favourite sessions ("my plan")
  • the sport filter you chose last
  • which events you opened, so view counts look right after a reload
  • that you closed the "add to home screen" hint (for 7 days)

This is needed for features you asked for (§ 25 (2) no. 2 TDDDG), so no consent banner is shown. You can delete it any time in your browser settings.

Club and brand sign-up pages, contact form

If you leave your email on the "For clubs" or "For brands" page, we store it together with what you add (club link or company name, your interests, a note), the date, and how often you signed up. The same goes for messages sent through the contact form in the imprint (email and message). We use it to contact you about listing your club, a partnership or your message, and for nothing else. Legal basis: your request (Art. 6 (1)(b) GDPR) and, where you have not asked for anything specific, our legitimate interest in answering your interest (Art. 6 (1)(f)). The data is stored in a Google Firestore database (Google Cloud, operated for us as a processor). Only we can read it. We keep it until you ask us to delete it or until it is no longer needed for the purpose above. We never sell or share it.

The "Add a club that's missing" form stores the link and note you send, to check and add the club.

To prevent abuse, your IP address is held briefly in the server's memory to limit how often a form can be sent. It is not written to the database.

Session information

The calendar is built from information organisers publish themselves. It names clubs, brands and places, not private individuals' accounts. We use automated tools, including an AI-assisted web search, to read those public pages; no visitor data goes into them. If you are named in a listing and want it changed or removed, write to us.

Your rights

You can ask us for access to your data, correction, deletion, restriction of processing, and a copy in a common format. Where we process data because of our legitimate interest, you can object. Where you gave consent you can withdraw it at any time. You can also complain to a data protection authority, for example the Berliner Beauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit, or the authority in your own state or country.

Some pages link to organisers, Strava and Instagram. Once you click, their own privacy rules apply. Strava club events are shown with "Powered by Strava".
